I'm so blessed to have as many positive friendships as I do, even if I barely ever talk to some I know they support me and will be there for me, even when other friends put me down at every corner.

I love you guys (esp Jen, Chou, and Kat ♥)

Life is wonderful when you make it so.

ANYONE A FAN OF ANYTHING JAPANESE ON MY F-LIST I NEED YOUR HELP FOR A RESEARCH PAPER

I'm conducting an interview to get information for my research paper straight from the horse's mouth, as I'd use my own experiences but I'm sure that's not enough.

I have a set of questions to ask and if you e-mail me at: deneb.desu@gmail.com I will send them to you.

Now as a forwarning I do ask for your name, age, and hometown (or at least state or major city by it) . The only people who will see that part of the interview are myself and my professor.

Also as my paper is about Americans, well only Americans please XD And if you have friends who can do this PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE refer them, I need as much as I can from this.

Thank you in advance.

So my brother just came into my room with a Lt. Blue DS Lite. Apparently they were selling them on Black Friday as a one day limited edition special *amused*

After all that trouble in China it was available in America for a day we weren't there.

Random Article/Blog Post thingie

So I came across this while looking for research for Moose's paper. It deals with something that's always bothered me about the fandom commmunity I am a part of... the fact that no one hates a lover of anything Japanese culture wise more than a lover of Japanese culture.

I know I've probably done this myself once or twice, but the hypocrisy is actually very interesting I have also seen such hypocrisy ruin the love of anime and manga for a couple of people.

People are also very defensive about it, even I start feeling very defensive when words like 'weeaboo' and 'wapanese' are thrown out towards me.

But really what is 'wapanese'?

Are they a type of people who enjoy something of Japanese culture? Then yes, you know what? I am one and I'm proud of it.

Are they people who live breath everything Japanese and only like it if it is Japanese? You know what I don't think ANYONE exists out there (except in comics and satires) that have completely adhered themselves to Japanese Culture so if this is what you're defining this as, then Wapanese do not exist.

People who like Japanese things often don't like them because they are Japanese, but because they are interesting and different, and then they are introduced to other Japanese things through this thing they like.

So I think I'm going to have to change the way I think about the word, because people are going to assume their own definition of the word and then misuse it even if they defined it themselves.

Oh and if owning 200+volumes of manga, having more than half my playlist be of japanese origin, loving the fashion there more than the ones in America, loving Sushi and Majoring in the Japanese language makes me 'Wapanese'

Well, so be it I'll enjoy the things I enjoy and stop caring what people think. Because the enjoyment is lost if all you think about is how you look to other people when enjoying them.

Nothing is more nervewracking than when you go to kill a spider and it JUMPS out of the way.

I know know what kind of spider we find from time to time in our Apaato.

...

It's a fucking jumping spider *shiver* Apparently they're very common in Japan and it would explain why the ones we find walk anywhere, why there are no webs and why that thing jumped and gave me a heart attack.

Driving at night is really nice..

Seeing a large white van parked on your street, by the lot without a house, with it's lights on.... not so nice >_> I was a bit spooked XD'

And no I did not have an imaginary friend as a kid, surprisingly. My Dolls were CONSTANT make believe partners though so I guess that's close enough.... though I still do it today with my stuffed animals XD''

Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?...

The Queen's Knight

Congrats! Only 4-5% of the population score this!

The Queen’s Knight is armed with rose-colored glasses. The mundane comes to life and nature becomes expressive of spirit. The interesting thing about this Knight is the ability to switch from fantasy to reality. There are exceptions to the rule, but this is the type that may have had imaginary friends as a youngster. Their stuffed animals also were great companions. The Queen’s Knight will see the good in almost anyone or anything – but their depth of emotion can remain hidden even from themselves. Circumstances tend to reveal sudden responses.

Not all life is rosy and this Knight is not exempt from disappointment or frustration with humanity. They may feel incompetence when dealing with their own ethical values. Things aren’t simply white black, but a grand battle of Good versus Evil. Evil must be reckoned with but Good shall eventually win. It is not that they fight evil, but that they fight for the essence of moral good. Doing something good is quite satisfactory for them and indeed increases their happiness. It is when something is not reciprocated to them that they are saddened and disappointed by others. They learn that others aren’t as self-sacrificing.

The Queen's Knight is dominated by an inner world of intense feeling and deeply rooted ethics. They seek to form their life based on their views. They are highly curious of those around them so are readily accepting of others unless their values are being threatened. They promote insight and understanding amongst others and contribute well thought ideas. They however can be a bit too idealistic.

So my comforter was wet on the ride home from school. And I kind of forgot to wash it until mildew attacked it (I had spilled gatorade on it).

And since Snow decided to pee on my normal home comforter I get to sleep with the one from school..

......

All the mildew stains are disturbing to say the least >__>'''

01. Reply to this post (ask for the meme...) and I will pick six of your icons.
02. Make a post and talk about the icons I chose.
03. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
04. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

--This icon is here because I obviously crap rainbows~ That and I do love me some kawaiinot.com comics, though lately they haven't been as good as usual >_>'' but really, one's gonna run out of good ideas someday XD'

--SIMPLE IS BEST! Monokuroboo are so cute ♥ I knew them as Pigpig/PigiPogi because I had a pen/pencil with them on it that said that. They are from San-X which > Sanrio for having a seal that lives in a fishbowl and eats soybeans (Mamegoma), having a character that represents laziness (Tarepanda) and having a character called Beer-chan (Guess what he does).

--Rurutia!! God she's so much love. I've loved her since forever, but had a hard time getting her music for the longest time *lived on only five of her songs for the year until she found a discography upload* This icon also uses my fun leaf brush that randomizes in rotation, size, and color :D

--Just a cheap icon of Kipi that I made when I was revamping all my icons, I ended up really, really liking it though, it was the first I really manipulated with contrast, brightness, opacity, and layers.

&
--My two Yunie icons~ I cosplay Yuna alongside with Kat who is Rikku (and used to RP Yuna with her Rikku last year) and have grand fun doing it. I made these icons to represent the Yuna in me and to have icons to go with Kat's lol.

Going to Florida everyone 8D! I should still be on but not nearly as much~ I also plan on making two more muses this week (Ai Takahashi and Tsurugi >3<)

I'm really really mad at myself though because I can't find the thing I bought Chou and I was really excited to give it to her...

Though considering I spent about two hours searching for it (one last night and one this morning) I'm pretty much out of luck for this trip, I'm hoping I'll find it before she leaves STL though.

But yes :D Gonna prolly pack this up now so I can clean fishie bowl and eat before my mom comes home to bring me to the airport.

WISH ME LUCK ON MY FIRST TIME FLYING ALONE!

OMGZ
So I'm making Kipi icons this morning right? And I'm staring at one and I can't help but think.. ....damn that nose looks familiar..

I then realize it looks EXACTLY like Ryouhei's nose..
...XD

So I compare the two pictures and I come up with this shocking discovery:

THEY LOOK ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME WTF!!!!?!?!

Ryouhei is tanner, a bit boyish (compared to Kipi), and has smaller eyes (Kipi has bigger ones due to the make-up, the contacts, and her natural large eye-ness)..

But still...
how weird...... XD''''

O_O
Okay I worked on this for a good three hours, just making the layout go the way I wanted it to!!! There is actually only one small bit of CSS code, and the rest was manipulating the DAMN s2 layout customization @_@... There are a lot more options with this new one though 8D

....

Okay so anyway, I made a layout with Kipi, the Cosplay Queen! She's dressed as Alice here so I might as well make it Alice themed XD''

I wanted something COMPLETELY different, and it should be fine even on non-widescreens, just words getting blocked when you scroll up on those.

:D I love you all

I'm going to go die now

PAPER WRITING STARTS TOMORROW!

GRA
GAH.

Yaplog! You.. you and your NOT ACCEPTING ZIPCODENESSSSSSSS

It makes me very sad inside.

My vacation is over, it's rush, rush project time of doom... Time

P.S.

I like to know where I stand on things so I had to go and watch SuG finally.

I don't see the hype... either way.

They aren't amazing
They aren't terrible

Yeah they're adorable, can't people like that?
Yes there are things he does with his voice in some songs that aren't the best sounding (I know in one song I listened to he was like cutting himself off which led to a headache affect) But I like the tone of his voice, in fact I think if he just sang some ballad acapella like it would probably be absolutely beautiful. It doesn't seem like he's doing that though...

They also don't have a lot of nice melodies. They're at least not strong enough or catchy enough to truly call them to my attention. If they had more of them I think they'd go towards the "band I like" side.

I personally think the SuG arguement is just blown out of proportion :/

I won't download them.
But if they came on someone's playlist I'd listen to them.

They have average songs with random moments where they're amazing.

For the most part though they're mediocre. (not HORRIBLE beyond belief)

And that's just my personal thoughts
